Ayse Bombaci, PhD
Ayse Bombaci, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. She works with adults, couples and families and uses systemic therapy approach in her private practice in Bonn, Germany. Ayşe is currently working as an EMDR therapist at an EMDR Trauma Hospital, in which specialized in the treatment of complex trauma, dissociation, early neglect and attachment difficulties as well as the integration of EMDR with a systemic therapy approach, near Cologne, Germany.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from both Istanbul University, Turkey and Heidelberg University, Germany. She also received her PhD degree from Heidelberg University (Department of Developmental and Biological Psychology). Her doctoral thesis is focused on prenatal stress and the quality of early mother-infant interaction as investigated by Still-Face-Experiment in a prospective study. In addition to researching the influence of pre- and postpartum disorders on the self- and co-regulation in dyadic interactions, her particular clinical interest lies in the integration of core prenatal experiences as a resource in the treatment of attachment disorders with EMDR therapy.
She has also presented workshops in the field of psychological trauma in both Turkey and Germany. Besides, she provided consultation at Istanbul Bilgi University as a systemic family supervisor.
Ayşe is an EMDR Europe– approved therapist for adults and a member of EMDR Turkey & Germany Association. She has also worked as a member of the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) in different trauma related situations in Turkey and has used G-TEP in groups.
